Our Programs
Through this three day workshop, participants will shape and design their own surfboards, with the guided help of experienced shapers.
Once the boards are shaped there is an opportunity to paint and add decals to surfboard to further personalise your craft.
3 Day Hand-Shaping Program
This program includes all the experiences of the three day workshop, but with added days for coached surfing sessions.
Days will be broken up with a surf in the morning followed by shaping in the afternoon, for the a full shapers lifestyle experience.
Surf sessions are with accredited surf coaches.
5 Day Surfing and Hand-Shaping Program
Group sizes of up to 6, with breakfast and lunch catering included in all programs. Dinner included with accommodation

Learning outcomes for Group Programs at The Shapers Shed
Mindfulness:
Currently the world is moving so fast. We hope to help students slow down and focus on the task at hand, thus helping them focus and improve attention.
During the shaping process the students may experience a variety of emotions including anxiety, frustration and excitement. We welcome talking/identifying emotions and aim to guide them through these feelings and provide transferable coping techniques which will help in the future.
When not shaping, there are various focus/card games and art therapy available. Each day we will debrief with the students to reflect on their feelings.
Connection and Belonging:
Surfing involves direct contact to the land on which we live and play. Facilitating groups to create their own surfboard in which they can explore the ocean allows them to further the connection to land.
Confident young adults:
guidance, and positive reinforcement from our qualified shapers they will soon learn how capable they are.
We aim to inspire students to follow their passions and be proud of their achievements.
Pricing
Three Day Hand-Shaping Program
Program, breakfast and lunch catering only = $2200 per person.
With accommodation and full catering = $2400 per person
5 Day Surfing and Hand-Shaping Experience
Program, with full catering and coached surf sessions = $3000
All options include a your very own hand-shaped surfboard (ready for pickup or delivery in 2 - 3 weeks).
Group sizes of 6 participants.
Supervisors and Teachers not included in group number.
50% deposit required 4 weeks prior to program start date.
